Jan. RSC: My Final Purples

Yeah!!! MY bucket of purple strips is EMPTY!

And here they are on the design wall.
It will fun to watch it fill up with a rainbow of crayons this year.
I've changed my mind and am not doing the wonky flowers. My buckets are all filled with scrappy strips, thus, I'm going to make two crayon quilts. I don't have a pattern. So I decided to cut my "crayons" to be 5"wide and 45"long. I made a template for the point. I plan to use a white background. Easy Peasy sewing for this years RSC challenge...and I'll get two quilts made!

  2. It'll be fabulous! I'm continuing with the same Pentagonal Star block pattern I did last year for RSC since I only completed four blocks using five months of colors out of twelve LOL and I want at least nine blocks for the quilt 🤔

  4. I see a few crayon quilts popping up on the web and I think you have close to the pattern - it's simple math. How cute this will be and ambitious - two quilts.

  6. But are those crayons "Blue-Violet" or "Red-Violet"? Oh, the discussions that used to revolve around those crayons! Those are going to be very cute quilts, plus an empty bucket!

  11. Looks like a suitable project for a teacher. I'm impressed you can limit yourself to one RSC project. I start multiples and then fall behind. But hey, there's always next year.
    Hope the snow has stopped.

  12. Crayon quilts look like so much fun to make! What's not to love? They are all-age appropriate, gender neutral and instantly recognizable. Win win win! :)
