It's the best de-stressing mechanism after a day at work. Jeff didn't mind the flannel sheets, but he hated the down comforter. Spent today (in western NY) cleaning up the plant debris from the first hard freeze. High tomorrow in the 20's with a chance of lake effect snow. So I think I'll be staying inside and quilting.
PatMissPathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807348837446241284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1307622517630413687.post-84692919205314973242017-11-09T15:18:01.070-07:002017-11-09T15:18:01.070-07:00We try to avoid truly freezing weather in the boat...We try to avoid truly freezing weather in the boat, as the water temperature really influences the temps inside. So generally, we head south in the winter. Still pull out sweaters and comforters, just not as heavy and thick as yours :) The shorter amount of daylight is what we really notice, since it's particularly hard to move the boat at night. Here in the "Low Country" of South Carolina and Georgia, we also have to pay close attention to the tides. The combination of the right tide level during daylight can be tricky to find in the winter!

I don't miss snow and ice, but I do miss vibrant fall colors. And there's no way to have a fireplace on the boat, so I miss that bit of cozy comfort. I can't even safely have real, open flame candles and have to settle for the battery operated kind :)Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06306854459459257368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1307622517630413687.post-80595071093940081862017-11-09T15:04:52.925-07:002017-11-09T15:04:52.925-07:00Ah, great photo! But winter in Georgia is cold and damp and rarely does the sun make an appearance. While I enjoy the brief colors of autumn, it makes me sad thinking about what's to come. Fog gathers in the valley and between the trees in the forest, now dressed in their autumn best. Sweaters come out, and fireplaces are readied for chilly days. It is a perfect day to watch old movies and sew, then spend some time with my latest good book.Carole @ From My Carolina Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04297429399723723944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1307622517630413687.post-49336531119796536272017-11-09T05:23:14.281-07:002017-11-09T05:23:14.281-07:00Hubby and I have moved north.
