Flannel Twister Quilt Finished!

After two months...it's done!
And I couldn't be happier!
It's been fun to watch a layer cake of fabric evolve into something beautiful.

I like the light green flannel backing accented with the smokey black binding.

I think this Grizzly Ridge pantograph  as posted about here and 
the brown variegated thread called Cedars from Superior Threads, 
 worked out perfectly for this quilt.

Here it is at home in the "man cave".
 I know it made my guy (and the pups) pretty happy.
Happy "5-0" babe!
(I'm definitely making myself a flannel quilt soon as it's just so cozy.)

    It looks wonderful Val! I have a couple of flannel quilts planned for 2014 they are so lovely and snuggly :-)

    Wow, love the flannel twister. I have some extra flannel scraps from the backs of quilts and I think this just might be what they need. Wonderful!

    Great work, Val - very manly. It was a great choice of border fabric and quilting motif, too. It looks so comfy.

    What an awesome manly quilt! I didn't know you could get flannel in layer cakes. I love the picture of your hubby snuggled under the quilt and sharing the comfort with your furry friends!

    This is a great quilt! It is bigger then I thought. Even the dogs like it. It is always fun when our quilts are used and appreciated!

    Looks great! I've got a Lil Twister table runner in progress for my mom - it's my first ever twister. I'm liking it so far.
    Did you use a batting between your 2 layers of flannel?

    I finally had a few minutes to update my blog and check on yours and BOY AM I BEHIND! I am going to try and blog once a week...because once a month is just too long! I have failed to mention that....I LOVE DADS QUILT! WOW...I'm just speechless. It looks wonderful mom...and just in time for the snow!

    I always say that if a quilt is a hug, a flannel quilt is a double one! I love that you did yours in the Twister pattern which is so fun to do. I've got my flannel stash gathered for my next one, hopefully I'll have the UFO busting done by the Fall so I can start it. Definitely make one for yourself!!

    Love this quilt. I've made one twister quilt...lots of work. I did mine with the 5" squares. I have from the smallest tiny twister ruler all the way up to the 10". I was wondering what size your quilt finished at?

    This quilt is wonderful and you can tell that he loves it. Looks like the dogs do too, LOL. I made Steve and I both a flannel quilts last winter and they are so warm and soft. They have become our favorite quilts for evening TV watching :)
