I was inspired by Vicki over at Quilter's Mission a few weeks ago when she made a little ribbon blanket for her grand-daughter. (Check it out here.) I found an array of football ribbon at JoAnnes and with coupons in hand, I bought a few and quickly made one with the intent to give to our little guy during my Spring Break visit. Unfortunately, as I posted about here, the only trip I made over my break from teaching was to the doctor. Never the less, I used a blue minky on one side:
This measures 18" x 18". |
I used a green satin on the other:
And, I have to say, this one is my very favorite tag:
And well, here's the best news: my daughter was able to visit us this weekend
so I have to say, these are my very favorite smiles:
I am so grateful to end an very iky Spring Break with their visit. My daughter made me "grandmatis" our house...and I LOVE IT!!!! I'm so rejuvenated after their visit! I am truly grateful today and can't wait to get back to see my second graders. I've missed them.
So as I click "post" I hope to inspire you to enjoy your new day too!!
With smiles,
Grandma Val:)
PS: Can you tell I was a Scrapbooker before I started quilting!!
