I couldn't resist letting Jackson be the star of the blog today so he could participate in the Pets on Quilt Show. You've seen him hold down quilts for me:
You've seen him pose with quilts
and on quilts: (These are posted for to be included in the Dogs on Quilts Category)
That I finally had to make one just for him awhile back:
(This is posted to be included in the Dog Themed Quilt Category)
I love the back as much as the front:
What a fun linky/blog hop Jacque came up with.

Anddddd....before ya go, Jackson and I want to give a quick shout out
for Padsworth's Project:
Use your scraps to make a bed, pad or blankie to donate to your local animal shelter. All's ya have to do is make one, post it on your blog and link it up at Padworth's Pad within the next 10 days. But don't go yet...
We also want to thank you for stopping by with a GIVE-AWAY. Just leave a comment telling us your pet's favorite treat (Jackson's is cheese!) and if you don't have a pet, feel welcome to just say hi. You don't have to be part of the show to be entered to win this scrap bag of leftover fabric from Jackson's dog themed quilt I made above. I'll email & announce the winner on August 11th.
(This Give-Away is closed) The winner was announced here.
With smiles,
Jackson and Val
Jackson is the perfect fella for quilt posing - and holder of quilts, too. How sweet a give away. I have loads of kitty prints, wouldn't doggies be fun. Bella loves her Friskies' Fiesta chicken treats and Moe - pepperoni. Oiy - if I don't get pepperoni on my pizza, totally in the dog house (hahahaha).
ReplyDeleteJackson is a great spokesperson for your work. Your quilts are wonderful. Love the one you made just for him. We are between pets at the moment. Tink passed in April. Her favorite treat was peanut butter with or without anything under it. The floor would work just as well as a cookie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie Jackson is and I love that he'll let you take his picture, mine won't. Favorite treats are the one's I make for them, I know they're spoiled rotten, but I like the baking and they like the eating.
ReplyDeleteOur dogs are out side dogs but they like all my quilt's, thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteWell, Jackson is a natural! How fun to have a quilting buddy.
ReplyDeleteOne cute and hard working dog! Hi Jackson. Hope you win your Mom a really nice prize.
ReplyDeleteHugs
My cat's favorite treat is tuna!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Jackson is adorable. We don't usually give our cats treats because they eat all day so when we do give them treats, they just look at it and walk away.
ReplyDeleteSorry to say, we don't have a pet at this time, but we do have 10 granddogs and 1 great granddog, but I don't know what their favorite treats are.

Jackson is a cool lil' model!! We only have "barn cats"...& really...I think THEY think that I am THEIR Pet!! giggle giggle They know who spoils em for sure! lol We had a great dog..Golden Retriever...but he was old, & passed a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteMy three girls love chicken flavored rawhide chips. They have to have at least one every day! Chicken flavor is preferred because they obsess over the chickens that live next door to us!
ReplyDeleteThat last pic of Jackson is priceless! He looks like such a fun dog!
ReplyDeleteI was so distracted at your cute pup I didn't see your giveaway the first time! Carter's favorite treat are Little-Jac training treats. He's very picky about treats & actually spits out a lot of biscuits, but those little treats he goes wild for!
ReplyDeleteVal, I have been waiting for Jackson's appearance since you posted he was making a splash yesterday :) He never disappoints, what a sweet boy! Rubi's favorite treat is carrots and Nugget loves him some turkey :) Life is good for him when his papa gets a turkey sandwich for lunch, that means Nugget gets turkey for breakfast. haha Judy
ReplyDeleteJackson is adorable! Love your beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteMy mom's dog Jasper loved Bacon bits.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a sense of humor and Jackson vividly comes to life through your pics and words. I have to admit our dog's (14 yrs. old and thank goodness does a lot of walking, too) favorite treat is FOOD of any kind (and I won't say anything more)!
ReplyDeleteThe star themed quilt looks like the perfect choice for Jackson's quilt. He steals the show along with your wonderful quilts!
ReplyDeleteJackson is just too stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that fabric. And it looks like Jackson thinks it is pretty wonderful too. My dog Zeke LOVES moose meat. When we cut the moose up last fall hubby dried all the scraps and Zeke has been feasting on them all winter. A sure way to his heart. :)
ReplyDeleteJackson sure is cute! I think he knows it too! I would say our dogs like Milkbones a lot, but then what ever we are eating looks good to them too.
ReplyDeleteHe is just to dang cute! And you know I love your work!
ReplyDeleteJackson sure seems to get around to a lot of quilts! It was very nice of you to make him one of his own. The back of his quilt is super cute!
ReplyDeleteJackson is cute
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the picture of Jackson contributing to your quilt display! Glad he finally got a quilt of his own. I'd love to be included in your giveaway if you're willing to mail to the uk. My dog, Trevor, wasn't usually allowed to eat 'human' food, but as a special treat we'd let him lick out the McFlurry pots when they were nearly empty :)
ReplyDeleteHi Val and Jackson! Jackson is beautiful model and helper and he has the best ever quilt! Those doggy Fabrics are Super cute! You are so sweet sharing those precious pieces - thank you! I love the Red quilt, too - it has wonderful and unique desing and white with Red is always good! x Teje, Nero and Hanna

vof vof, i forgot to say that i like also cheese and 'nami nami' (those are Friskies, soft meat goodies). x Nero
DeleteGood morning, Jackson is such a cuttie pie and love seeing him in the photos-what an awesome idea to make things for the pet shelter
ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment but don't enter me in the giveaway-as I am destashing most of my quilt fabrics and books
Jackson is very photogenic, and obviously doesn't mind posing for you. My cat Tibby goes ape for cat crunchies. She literally climbs into the pantry and sits with her nose up against the bag in which they are kept. When you reach for them she marches across the kitchen to her bowl with her tail up in the air, and looking back at you every step or two, just to make sure you are still coming in behind her with the treats. She cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteWow Jackson should be in the movies. Great photos and I love the quilts. I have a very finicky cat and he loves little pieces of chicken. Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteLove Jackson... soooo cute. Yes, he should be in the movies. His little white moustache makes him look like he is smiling. It's always a good look.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Our labrador will eat just about anything, so I don't know what her favourite snack is. It used to be socks! She learnt pretty quickly that adult socks were too big, but for years she ate any baby or kids socks she could find. I would say she has eaten between 50-100 socks in her life time. When I told the vet, she was surprised our dog was still alive. We stopped buying socks for the kids until their feet got big enough that our dog lost interest in eating the socks. My 4 year old wears socks that are much too big for him for this reason.
ReplyDeleteMy cat's favorite treat are the Purina Whisker Lickens and Friskies Party Mix.
ReplyDeleteCute quilts and dogs.
I've had the privilege of meeting Jackson, & he's just as cute in person as he is in pictures. Missed you at the Kuna Quilt Show this weekend. Judy was wondering if you'd be coming. Miss you dear friend. Enjoy the rest of your summer before school starts. Victoria
ReplyDeleteJackson is such a great model! Our cat's favorite treat was Spaghettio's, how funny is that? She rarely ate any human food, but would always ask for some of my Spo's. Thank you for the giveaway, I have a couple pups in mind who would love a quilt of their very own!

ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie! Love your posts that include Jackson. Looks like he enjoys being the center of attention!
ReplyDeleteOur Cocker Spaniel doesn't have one favorite treat - she likes ALL people food, if given the opportunity. Silly dog.
ReplyDeleteThe Pugs will eat almost anything, but they are very fond of carrots! I take a bag with me to the park and the pugs come running for them. Hugs to Jackson from Romeo, Elvis and LarryPug.
ReplyDeleteJackson is so good at his job making your quilts look great! What a good dog. I have a cat that makes me feel good about my quilts. She doesn't eat treats but on occasion we share our tortilla chips with her without the salsa.
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo of Jackson the best!

Your puppy is amazing. My Rottwieler cross Shapei named Lexi love turkey drumsticks ( I know there huge) but her favourite treat is play time. She really just craves our attention.
ReplyDeleteJackson is so cute I just want to squish him! In the nicest way of course :-) I have a cat whose favorite treat is cheese and a big dog whose favorite treat is hmmm anything LOL.
ReplyDeleteKaye
Way too adorable! Are you sure that isn't a cat in a dog costume?
ReplyDeleteJackson is too cute! I think I would have to give him treats all the time just for being so cute! Our doggies love ANY treat, they aren't picky. LOL
ReplyDeleteHe sure is a cutey. Rusty loves his treats. His favorite is a toss up between bacon and chicken. He love the Canine Carry Outs.
ReplyDeletesyvisser@gmail(dot)com
