A New Quilt Cabinet!

Just a little something new I treated myself to as I began to
find quilts stacked in piles around the house.
I am loving it.
Curious...How do you store your quilts?

I specialize in edge to edge pantographs with over 100 designs to choose from.

Check out my Long-Arm Quilting page for details.

  2. I have a vintage glass cabinet to store quilts in too, I also have a couple of quilt ladders, a wall quilt shelf/rack, piles of quilts sitting on top of various pieces of furniture, one quilt draped on a vintage sewing cabinet and many quilts hanging on walls. So I use just about all the possible ways to store my quilts πŸ‘ŒπŸ’–πŸ˜

  3. Congrats - it's perfect! I throw quilts over couches and drape them on chairs and rails in our bedroom. The rest I fold into triangles and store in the closet to change out with the seasons!

  4. Oh how pretty!! I have two slung over a rocking chair ( those are the ones that my son or grandkids grab to cuddle up under....changed out seasonally ) and two more on a quilt rack in the living room in the corner / one or two on a quilt rack upstairs and the rest have been given away to family but I can visit them :)

  5. Oo, that's a pretty cabinet! Very fancy with the glass doors.

I have a single shelf above our bed where I can store about 6-7 small quilts. It's perfect for that because if we are in heavy seas and things fall off that shelf onto my sleeping face, I'd rather it be quilts! When the shelf is full it is time to donate more quilts to charity :)

  6. I love the cabinet—perfect for showing off quilts! All of my quilts are tucked away in cupboards, closets and hung over the shower rod in our guest bathroom—I think I need to start looking for a cabinet like yours!

  8. Space is at a premium here. I have three Christmas quilts stored in a trunk. Two more quilts that are slung over chairs. One on the wall. That's it!! The rest are given away. I would love to keep more but there's no place to put them so I just give them away. Your cabinet is wonderful but I have no room for something like that, either. :-)

  9. What a beautiful cabinet. I store/use/display quilts all over the house: in cabinets, on ladders, in closets, in trunks, in baskets... I probably need a whole post to really say.

  10. Your cabinet is beautiful! I have a cabinet for my quilts, one hangs on a wall, others are folded and scattered about for use. Plus, I have a couple bags in the garage for quilts to give away.

  12. Good for you! I like this idea because you can still see the quilts while they are stored. I keep mine on hangers in a cedar robe that belonged to my grandparents.
