May OMG: Rainbow Girl Flimsy!!

I had two easy peasy, chain piecing quilts that I really wanted to get done.
The first was to get my H2H Happy Chemo  I-Spy Quilt sewn, quilted, and mailed!
And many of you saw I did get that done. YEAH!! 

Next, I really wanted to get My Rainbow Girls fun border and hand stitching done. It will then be ready for some fun FMQ when I get out of school from teaching for the summer.
Annnnddd I got that done too!
I debated if I should have made the border around the heart like the border instead of  the log cabin around the heart...and for some reason I keep wondering that?? What do you think?? 
Quite honestly, I think I'm just in love with the fabric-made border! I created tumblers and just sewed them together. So easy and fun! The girls also have perle cotton hand sewn stitching all around them.
Hard to believe May is almost over and now it's time to start thinking of a June goal.

    Congratulations! I love both quilts, but I must admit that your girl quilt is my favorite. You've done such a good job with mixing all the various fabric.
    I think that the log cabin is just fine as all these girls need a place to rest at the end of their playful day.

    The rainbow girls look great, and the log cabin sits well with the cool border. I think it would look really good if you also put the black ric-rac over the dark purple border between the log cabin and the girls' feet.

    Your girls a re adorable! And I think the log cabin border is better, it's has to be different from the outer border, because it serves a different purpose (if you see what I mean).

    loving the quilt with the girls and the border works beautifully, it would look good around the heart too but the log cabin also works, nice to add a bit of embroidery to your girls a great make
