Stitching on a Snowy Day

I love waking up to a fresh covering of snow, especially when I have no where to go!
This Sunday Morning found me looking out my desk window at this:
It's safe to say today will find me contently sewing in my studio. (YAH!!)
(Click here for my Grow Your BLog Giveway!)

I completed many of my "To Do's" from yesterday including getting my Sue Spargo BOM started. (Our Sue Spargo BOM is an unpublished pattern, thus we can not share photos of our blocks on social network sites.) Soooo....
...I was inspired to make this little wool sampler I saw in the Spring edition of Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine (page 12). I'll use it to practice my stitches on & to share my learning here on my blog.
I'm not good at sitting still. (Just ask my mom or husband)
so multiple projects are no problem for me.

I but once again, shoveled the drive and walkways (I don't mind, it's a good workout and we love the snow.) Jackson had no problem keeping me company as I cleared .
Done! Now time to turn on the Olympics and start sewing my Crazy Hearts  together along with hopefully prepping a Crazy Heart tutorial.(It's done...click and check it out!)
Happy Sunday to all!
Val:)

  1. Love the bottle of wine in the pic LOL. Somedays I am really pleased to live in an apartment, I may not have the basement sewing studio I dream about, but I also don't have to shovel the snow ;) Have a great day stitching!

  7. Thanks Val for letting me no I had reverted to no-reply, the quick test obviously no longer works for some reason, so I will have to go into my blogger profile using fluster busters steps each time to check its status GRRR. Hopefully now it is fixed

  8. You sure do keep yourself busy. That drive and walkway are not small! But Jackson does look like he appreciates the company while you are working outside. About the no reply status described above.... Here is a great link for a PERMANENT solution to the problem.... http://www.venustrappedinmars.com/2013/06/google-ultimate-no-reply-blogger.html

  9. Looks like you're as snug as a bug...! That is a huge drive/walkway...how do you do it? I am so thankful I don't have to contend with all that cold. Happy sewing and creating.

  11. I hadn't noticed the bottle of wine at first and had to go back to look... now that is the way to craft girlfriend! :D I have to admit that winter is wearing on me now... not that it should really as soon as spring arrives so do the black flies, which are vicious - I can't even walk out the door without literally being attacked - I am always so thankful for our screened in porch - without it I might never get to go outside!!!
Sorry I haven't been over for a bit... kind of in a winter funk! Need to pull out some art supplies and play!
    Hugs my dear friend,

  12. Hi Val, I don't know why I'm coming up a no-reply blog! Grrrr! Honestly, since I moved over to wordpress I haven't been quite sure how my comments were being handled. I guess I'll have to start adding my email to my comments.
    Hugs my sweet friend,
