This week's theme is: CROSS HATCH QUILTING
I've been reading Kathy's blog, Stitch by Stitch, before I even jumped into blogging myself!
She specializes in long-arm quilting and I'm always inspired by her clean, simple style.
Like this uneven cross-hatch quilting:
I'm not a "pro" at ruler work ...maybe I will be someday, maybe I won't. I'm okay with that, as it seems my natural style right now is to use pantographs that accent the theme of my quilt...and that's fun too. I hope your week is off to a great start. I know this "spring forward" has made getting up for work a little harder but then again, easier to get in that afternoon walk. Go figure.
Thank you, Val, for including Sherri & I in your Tuesday Archives! I love this quilt Sherri made and I'm loving my pink & brown. I especially like the cross-hatch quilting style - it always works! Happy quilting!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of simple quilting myself so it's fun to see these. Thanks Val.
ReplyDeleteJust look at my quilt, I never get straight lines. That's why I try to make my lines a bit more "wonky". Then everybody can think that the lines were planned like that. Just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a slacker, I have not done any cross hatching. Maybe this year I'll try some!
ReplyDeleteI love some simple cross hatching on a quilt. This reminds me, maybe I should do some more soon.
ReplyDeleteoh your cross hatching is awesome. I love a repetitive line! LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteI love that cross hatch quilting in the photo. That I might actually be able to do.
