ALYof F March Goal/Chevron Quilt

Almost a year ago I purchased this fat quarter pack of "Floressence" by Art Gallery Fabric Studio. They are a premium cotton and are just so soft. (I even have the backing and binding fabric!) How is it that they've sat around this long??
So my March ALYof F goal is to get these made into a Chevron Quilt. (Top made, quilted and binding on) I've never made this pattern but think the simple quilt design will accent these fabrics well. Love thinking of these being transformed into a beautiful quilt by month's end. I won't be able to "cut into" these until Sunday as we have a spaghetti feed fundraiser at school Thursday and  a "date night" into Boise planned for Friday.

  1. You live near Boise? That's where I'm moving to ... if my house here ever sells.

  4. Which chevron pattern are you planning to use - the HST pattern or the strip pieced one?

  5. Oh all your pretty fabrics waiting for you to turn then into a work of art! You have set a big goal. I look forward to seeing the quilt. I made one using the strip method, what are you doing?

  6. I found a tutorial for the HST pattern...as the strip pieced tutorial I found uses quarter yards.

  7. Val I love how your fabric is hung up on the line. Such a pretty picture just like that, lol!! Looking forward to seeing your chevron quilt. I am currently knitting a chevron blanket using up all my baby yarn.

  8. I love Art Gallery fabrics! I just made the backing for a chevron quilt I'm doing with the Nordika collection. It was a kit, so I didn't have to think about it. Have fun on your Date Night to the big city!
