I got my Hexi back!

We were off on a quick road trip yesterday to move our youngest daughter home from college and I was able to get an entire hexi flower sewn. Felt soooo good to be hand sewing again. This will be part of my Hexagon Memory Quilt.
I plan to pre-cut a few more flowers to have on hand for some more relaxing summer sewing. Off to link up with other slow stitchers at Kathy's Sunday Linky.
With smiles!

  1. What a great photo.. that sums it up! I do so much stitching in the car on road trips!

  2. Fabulous little flower! I can baste in the car on road trips, but piecing the hexies together requires enough focus/concentration that I find myself getting car sick. Are you going to save the papers with the little notes/memories on them?

  4. What a fun way to pass time on the road. Most people don't look forward to long car trips, but being able to get so much accomplished makes it more fun.

  5. I went back and read about your Hexagon Memory quilt. This is just the neatest idea I have read about in a while! This quilt is going to be so special!! I think I like the scrappy idea too.

    1. I think scrappy too, especially as I really don't want to make the plain trail.:)

  6. I am so jealous you can do things in your car. I can't because it make me violently ill :( I am also jealous because your daughter is already off at college! We have two more years to go, I hope we can all survive! We are now dealing with buying her first car. Moody teenagers are not fun!

    1. Daughter broke her ankle...so most the summer will be pretty quiet. But that's okay....atleast I'll have good company while I sew. We're thinking of making it the summer we watch all the old disney movies!
