Hi Val! This is fantastic quilt! I like the pattern and your Fabrics! I have made stars and swirls with men's shirts - this pattern would be so perfect for the third quilt in that 'collection'. x Teje
Great job Val! Yes, the Twister design is definitely one of those "the magic of quilting" techniques---always amazes given the simplicity of what you start with. I've also been surprised to see the variety of designs you can make using it.
For me it is intricate paper piecing. You get all these random pieces, fabric sticking out at odd angles, then all of a sudden, it's this amazing quilt block!
Very nice finish.

ReplyDeleteThe twisters do delight - this is just wonderful and I look forward to seeing how you quilt it.

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed too. It is definitely magical. Thanks for the tutorial, you make it all look so simple. I have to save up for a Twister ruler too.
ReplyDeleteOh Val!!! Yep, it is an amazing thing to see. I love it! It looks so soft and cozy.
ReplyDeleteHey Val, we both have flimsy finishes on Friday! How often is that going to happen?
ReplyDeleteLove your Twister! I gotta try that.
Hugs

ReplyDeleteThis looks great, Val. I like the dark border you added.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. I like how a small piece of fabric can look entirely different from when it was on the bolt xx
ReplyDeleteReally nice. I like the colors. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteThat was fast! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome and that border just tops it off! It is amazing how you went from plain squares to this very complex looking beauty!
