I always enjoy watching a quilt transform from a flimsy into a quilt right in front of my eyes.
My respect goes out to those of you who quilt for a living, for after spending a better part of yesterday quilting this one with my Breast Cancer Ribbon pantograph, I WAS tired!
Anyhoo...I did get the quilting done and all's that's left it the binding. Phew!
It's the perfect sewing for my busy week ahead.
Here's hoping you have a little bit of sewing on hand to keep you sane as well.
Tomorrow's theme is: MUG RUGS!
I admire these people too. You're doing a great job on this quilt. Loved the breast cancer ribbon.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Val! I hope you enjoy your quiet moments with binding this week.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I send mine to a professional (yeah, still haven't got the frame set up). Binding slow time will help make those busy days wind down.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a special art. It looks beautiful. Have fun with the binding.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! This is the fun part, transforming a top into a quilt.
ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful ♥
ReplyDeleteLong arm quilters are amazing.....as is your lovely quilt, Val. The quilting looks amazing! You did a brilliant job. Happy binding!!
ReplyDeleteI just take it a row or two at a time, and then get myself distracted with some other quilty project, and then I'm ready to go again! Your quilt is going to be more gorgeous when you get it finished - awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Val. The colors, fabrics and quilting are awesome. Looking forward to the Mug Rugs link party tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Val. :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a beauty and lucky you having a machine that quilts patterns presume it is a long arm one.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting you chose.
ReplyDeleteI know I would not want to do a bunch of customer quilts, too stressful. However I do quilt tons of my own to sell at the local craft shows and that is such a different feeling. Your quilt is gonna be so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting looks great. I admire anyone who can quilt. I've not worked up the time or patience to learn that skill just yet.
