This week's theme is:
Lone Star Quilts & Projects
Having never made a Lone Star quilt myself, I found myself "wandering" the internet...educating myself as I prep for our linky. I found this Lone Star color sheet at the Quilting Board. (Click here to get it.) I kinda thought it would be fun to sketch a pattern according to my scrap stash.
Admittedly, I have to say this tutorial below that I found at Amy's Diary of a Quilter Blog is more my "quick get 'er done" style. This quilt finishes at 40"x 40"...perfect for a baby quilt. It's a great stash buster or just the right pattern to get rid of that layer cake that's collecting dust on the shelf.

Pretty pattern ♥
ReplyDeleteIt is one of those quilts that I have always wanted to make.
ReplyDeleteI never made a Lone Star too. But it's in my list.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
Someday I will attempt one of these!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have made any lone stars. The only one must be my La Passion hexagon star. Maybe I should link it?
ReplyDeleteI'm with Carole, one of these days I'll try to make a Lone Star quilt.
