Wow! My 100th Post!!
YES! I'm so excited!!!
I mean seriously, I don't even have a data plan of my cell phone!
So this is a big deal for me!
So this is a big deal for me!
- I'm grateful I actually got all this blogging stuff figured out! (HAHAHA!!Because I'm not techy!)
- I'm grateful I have a routine established so I can continue to be involved instead of just sitting on the outside reading everyone else's blogs.
- I'm grateful for you, my new quilt blogging friends. Really! Thank you for visiting my blog and for supporting me with your kind comments and emails. You are like my "virtual" quilt guild. I always enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee and visiting your blogs for inspiration, support and friendship.
If you are new to my blog, WELCOME! That's a picture of me over on the right. This is a quilting/sewing hobby blog. Visiting my blog, you'll notice I'm a pretty eclectic sewer who dabbles in applique, English Paper Piecing, (love my hexagons) traditional and out-of-the box piecing, long-arm quilting, quilt/sewing area organizing (See my Sunday Organizing Series). And, as if that's not enough, 2014 will find me exploring wool by participating in Sue Spargo's BOM. I have many W.I.P. but let's not talk about those! (wink! wink!) Feel welcome to check out my "pages" and/or "labels" in areas that may have sparked your interest. Hopefully you like what saw and you'll become a "follower" and I can visit your blog as well.
Hey, I've always been a great multi-tasker |
I'm proud so to check: "Start a Blog" off my "2013 To-Do" list and thankful for

ReplyDeleteQuilts for kids, project Linus, Riley children's hospital as well as quilts of valor are all places I donate quilts. I also make very large tote bags...this started during Katrina. I got tired of seeing people carry their world possessions in black trash bags. I thought large bags that were colorful was more mean ongoing full. I used 2 yards if fabric in each one and
ReplyDeleteI follow you via email. I make baby quilts, receiving blankets, gowns, hats and mitts for hospitals that have met with tragedy starting with Joplin, MO when their hospital was wiped out from a deadly tornado. I help organize with Ellen Medlock and Quilts of Compassion arranging quilt donations and drop off sight for Moore OK residents that too met with a deadly tornado. Now I am filling tote tubs once again with receiving blankets, baby quilts, gowns, hats and mitts to send to surrounding areas of Chicago hit with deadly tornado's last week. I just never quit making them, it is always on my mind.

ReplyDeleteI'm following. Congrats on the 100...
ReplyDeleteI'm hexie mad on 1"
ReplyDeleteAnd 1 1/2" too.
ReplyDeleteI am always inspired by quilters who donate their time and fabric. I recently donated a lot of fabric, thread and sewing supplies to an area that was completely flooded. I know how hard it is to rebuild after a flood so I was happy to give so those creative souls would have something to work with. When your left with nothing fabric and supplies are very low on the list of things to spend on. Well after clothes, furniture, toys, and even tools (they are 'needed' to rebuild). But the therapy of creating can be extremely important.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to make my first donation quilt. I have a few quilts for family to make first. But it's on my list.
Congrats on your milestone!! Great way to celebrate!! I follow you via GFC - thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSince I am having troubles leaving a comment with my google account (grrrr) I will leave my email (just in case) micheletimms at gmail dot com ;-)
