This give-away is closed and the winner was announced here.
Cynthia over at Quilting is More Fun than Housework is hosting an Orphan Adoption Event this weekend for those WIP that we have lost our motivation to finish! (What a fun idea huh!)I knew immedietly that I was going to post my Applique Flower Garden. This was a BOM many years ago at my LQS and since I was a beginner appliquer, it proved too difficult. So it got set aside. Now, years later, though more experienced, I have no inspiration to finish it.
Your "adoption" will include the three "almost" finished blocks above and the six kits below to finish the remaining applique blocks. Each block is 8"x8"finished. I will also include a copy of the pattern from Kim Schaefer's Flower Festival book. Please note, this offer only includes the materials and patterns (which are already transferred to freezer paper) to finish each applique block.
I'll ship these free to anywhere in the United States (So sorry to my oversea friends.)
Just leave me a comment if you are interested and I will select the winner using the random selector on June 11th and announce it here on the blog and notify ya by email.
And, hey, if you are looking for some new projects and/or have a WIP like me you've just lost your inspiration to finish, stop by Cynthia's and check our her linky!! I'm also sharing at:

I have a very similar project Val. And I think I have about the same number of blocks done! (I'm laughing because even Jackson doesn't seem to have any interest in finishing this one up either!)
ReplyDeleteSo generous of you to put this one up for adoption - it is going to be a wonderful quilt! Thanks so much for participating in the Orphan Adoption Event. It really is appreciated!
Would love to give these a try! They are beautiful. :) Thanks for the chance.

What a great idea for all those projects everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteThis should really catch on internationally!
Take care,
Joanne
Oh that Jackson is more interested in that tennis ball than helping you out, lol!!! I love the adoption idea, however I think I already have a huge enough pile of UFO's calling my name. Perhaps I need to adopt some of my stuff out too.
ReplyDeleteI would love your blocks and kits. Thanks so much for the chance!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic opportunity! I would love to finish that project.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet project this would be to do. Looks like a good one to take on those road trips.
ReplyDeleteOh my, yes please! Thanks for the chance to finish up this project.
ReplyDeleteWow Val - what an amazing giveaway! This will make someone very happy too! I sympathize completely with losing that inspiration... and when other quilt projects are calling your name, you just never do get back to the ones you set aside. Don't add me in to you drawing, because as you know I have one up for adoption too. I just wanted to tell you you are terrific!
ReplyDeleteYour applique work is beautiful. I can't believe you are giving these away! I promise I would finish them and give them a good home. Thanks for this great giveaway and for your lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteI would love to adopt your blocks. I can use all the help I can get.

I have not done applique so I need a project to get me started so this would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love applique and these make a gorgeous quilt. I would love to adopt these blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks and applique is my favorite method of making quilts. I would be thrilled to win them, thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love applique! I have used the technique on both my embroidery machine and *regular* sewing machine and find both very satisfying ways of being creative! I just finished making a cute outfit for my great-niece and appliqued a giraffe on the front on the top. It turned out so cute!
