My Monday Design Wall is getting empty!
These receiving blankets are always fun to make and "cute as a bug" when finished.
These each open up to be 41"by 41" square. |
I had time to play with the decorative stitches on my sewing machine and
like this extra accent around the perimeter of the blankets.
Wondering if you have a favorite "go to" baby shower gift that's quick and easy?
Today will find me FMQ a baby panel and playing with a farm themed jelly roll.
More baby finishes to come...
Everytime you link and share here at Tuesday Archives you will be entered you into a monthly drawing for a $15.00 Gift Certificate to: (pretty cool huh!)
Winners will be announced the first of every month! Thanks for stopping by!
Very cute fabric selections for your receiving blankets, Val. The love bug just might be my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteHope you and Jackson have a great day.
Those are really sweet! I make mine with flannel and minky. I also like making burp cloths with flannel and terry cloth. I'll have to try adding a decorative stitch. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAren't these just so sweet and what a quick project to have a little gift on the ready.
ReplyDeleteI love the decorative stitch as the border. I have a pile of these to make, I better get going. You've inspired me. :)
ReplyDeleteNice blankets. I like to give tied flannel baby blankets that are about 41 x 53 inches finishes.
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog today. These blankets look so soft and lovely. Love the colors and patterns.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me to pick up some flannelette to make a couple receiving blankets to take to next week's guild meeting! Yours are great.
ReplyDeleteYour right cute as a bug in a rug, boy thats old. I enjoy the post and started following you after
ReplyDeletebrowsing around a while. Many interesting posts.
Blessings

3 pretty quilts you have created here,
ReplyDeleteLove your little blankets. I have some cuddly flannel...guess I better get sewing!
ReplyDeleteThe receiving blankets are so cute. My go to baby shower gifts are still baby quilts--sometimes I make one specifically for that baby and other times I just grab a completed baby quilt from my stash.
ReplyDeleteSew cute Val! I need to make up a bunch of these too!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Those are great baby gifts.
