And here my Valentine Quilt sits....awaiting it's turn at the sewing machine.
I have no idea why really, except for the simple fact February seemed to have zoomed by right before my eyes. My husband teases it's due to the fact I've had to get use to working again since our unforeseen January series of snow storms. (Even this morning's inch of snow didn't phase us.)
Truth be told, I have been enjoying the day by day flow of my life. My daily workouts, reading and watching movies as I stitch the binding of a quilt I finished almost three years ago!
I've truly felt calm and as if I've been truly just carrying on, peaceful in my own shoes.
Life is good.

I love how the colors go together in this picture: the quilt, the bowl, the cutting mat, the sewing machine, the poster...it was meant to be. And the dots. The dots! No wonder you feel so calm.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad about not making your OMG goal--I don't even bother to make any goals anymore!
ReplyDeleteVal, goals are nice as long as we don't get hung up on them and make ourselves crazy. That's no fun!!! Enjoy the down time.
ReplyDeleteQuilting should always be fun, not a chore. Enjoy the journey. Have fun! I think this is why I don't do the monthly goal thing, I want to do what I feel like, when I feel like it, and not be tied to something guilt inducing if I don't make the goal.
ReplyDeleteI use to be so very goal orientated. Yet as middle age sets in, I'm learning not so much anymore. It's kinda nice actually!
ReplyDeleteI love it when life goes that way-it mostly does for us now that we are retired-It took me a good year after retirement to be myself again-work can be stressful.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't set goals!! lol
ReplyDeleteI agree--January and February went by in a flash! I'm glad you are able to enjoy the process and not have to rush your project!
ReplyDeleteI no longer set goals as I could never stick to them usually distracted by something I have seen on another blog and have to try!
ReplyDeleteAt least you made some progress. I think it's better to enjoy the journey and not stress to finish. :)
ReplyDeleteSome months it's all about the progress and not the finish. Sounds like you've got a good rhythm going, why break it?
ReplyDeleteBravo for you! Feeling at peace is such a blessing! Daily workouts, reading, watching movies are all good for the soul!
