This week's theme is: Row by Row Quilts
Pattern from The Quilt Crossing in Boise, Idaho |
I've never made a row quilt . Oh man, I've been enticed, especially whenever I drool over my Lori Holt pattern books. I've also never participated in a Row by Row Experience. Coincidentally though, this summer my husband and I (and Jackson of course) are planning a motorhome trip and I think it would be fun to collect the Row by Row patterns from the quilt shops along our route and how cool that this year's theme is: "On the Go!" This is one of those bucket list vacations, so collecting these would certainly make for a great memory quilt.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing today.
Oh my, reminds me that I have an almost finished, beautiful row-by-row quilt in a box. Time to quilt and use it, you think?
ReplyDeleteThat home sweet home row is so sweet. Can you tell me where that one came from?
ReplyDeleteYou'll love collecting them Val! I did it for the first time with my MIL and a friend this summer across our tri-state region. Rows aren't made up though so nothing to show but I'll have fun looing at everyone else's!
ReplyDeleteI just heard about the Row by Row experience a few months ago. Are the patterns free?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea... Good planning
ReplyDeleteYay for Idaho! Cute pattern from a wonderful shop! Do you have a link to the Row by Row Experience?
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds wonderful! I think it's easier to get to quilt shops by RV than by boat, which makes me sad that I wasn't a quilter during the 9 years we lived full time in our RV. I'll have to do it vicariously through you this summer!
ReplyDeletesuch fun to go round collecting rows from shops cannot do that here in the UK well maybe you can but no local shops. Have added a link to a row by row I did on line. It is on my bed as I write
ReplyDeleteIs your bucket list going to include seeing North Carolina? Our B&B is open and takes doggies!! Someday I am going to attempt a Row quilt, when I find one without so much applique.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting this summer is going to be for you! I've collected patterns and kits from 2105 and 2016 but have only completed a few rows and NO full quilt...yet. Those two are on my list for this year, though.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to follow your summer travels :)
No row quilts here either. But one based on your vacation sounds like a great souvenir.
