Personal resolution #2 this new school year:
I will join a sewing group of some kind.
And this week I'm doing just that! I feel so lucky that our previous applique teacher, who taught at our local quilt store before it went out of business, put together an Applique Club where a few of us will get together for a "sit-n-stitch" the second Tuesday of every month. She is the nicest and most talented person. I had these adorable cookies made for our first meeting and my wool birdies for my Sunny Side of the Street quilt are cut, pinned and ready to stitch. I can't wait!! Stay tuned once again.
An applique club....how fabulous! I am starting a quilt filled with applique at the moment....wish I could join you ladies. My those cookies look delicious. LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteGreat to be part of a group. Enjoy those biscuits
ReplyDeleteThose are too cute!!
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone just eat those cookies? They must have taken longer to decorate than stitching up a block. Have fun with the group.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased you've found a way to fit a stitching group into your life! I hope the new job is going well XOX 😘
ReplyDeletebeautiful cookies-enjoy your group sounds wonderful
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, cookies! They look so good, they might even make me want to try applique :)
ReplyDeleteThose cookies are so cute--I'm sure everyone loved them! I belong to a stitching group that meets twice a month. It's something that I look forward to even though I probably get more sewing done at home--lol!
ReplyDeleteAlmost too cute to eat!! I'm sure your group will enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know how you are keeping busy with sewing projects these days. And those cookies are SWEET--in more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteHope your stitching group was a lot of fun. Those cookies are very cute.
ReplyDeleteI am just catching up on all my favourite blogs after our summer vacation and then catching up with all my business work since we got back.
ReplyDeleteI hope your move into a new avenue of teaching is going well and you will have a great year. I do hope you continue to blog as I love reading all about your quilts and projects and the pictures, but know that sometimes something has to give.
Hugs, Susie xx
