I welcomed Fall today by replacing Summer banners and wreathes with Fall ones:
I noticed my roses have gifted me with one more round of beautiful blooms too:
And, yes, I'm savoring my first Pumpkin Spice latte of the season!
The rest of the day will find me spending the afternoon enjoying the comforts of home as I stitch and sew in-between loads of laundry and getting our menu made for the week. Seems the change of season also finds us not only enjoying the cooler weather, but replacing BBQ meals with comfort foods like warm bowls of chili and yummy casseroles. I'm sure I'm not alone huh.
Wishing each and everyone of you a happy, happy Fall.!!!
Such a sweet banner, Val. It exudes a cheery welcome to your home. Enjoy all those glorious Fall hues and a day filled with stitching and household chores.
ReplyDeleteThanks Val, for sharing your rose. I had lots of pretty ones in CA, but none since. I really miss them.

Wow, what a rose! One final hurrah from your rosebush. Comfort food is so awesome in the fall! I've got a pot of stew cooking up right now :)
ReplyDeleteI love this season too!! Does Jackson have a sweater? I wish it was cooler, we are still in the 70s, and I want it to get cold so the trees will change color. Cooking burgers on the grill tonight, watching football today.
ReplyDeleteWe made a fabulous chick pea and vegetable Curry today! So yes our summer diet is moving aside 💖👌
ReplyDeleteLove the banner Val and my roses are having a final fling of blooms. The fresh autumn air seems to make them smell even better than at the height of summer. I love autumn and winter for the casseroles and soups.
ReplyDeleteYou are in the mood for fall! We're at our cabin and it's 20 degrees right now, so definitely time to switch gears and start making that comfort food. And turning the heat on, lol!
ReplyDeleteI am planning to do more dinners with roasted fall vegetables. I am so happy for the cooler weather. Can I just jump to Halloween decorating?
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall, Val. It will be a long while before we have any cool temps but we did enjoy some lovely weather while visiting our daughter in Denver over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour rose is beautiful.
Sounds like you've gotten a great start on the fall season. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteHi Val and Happy Fall to you too. Loving the blog posts about your quilting progress and can't wait to see the new quilt finished. Applique is not my thing but I do have a go every once in a while to try and get better at it. I, too, try and sew every week and it does make a huge difference to how I feel at the end of it having done something creative. My job, DH and I work together in our own business, is engineering which is all hard metal and quite exacting, so it is lovely to play with bright fabric. Have a great Autumn. Hugs, Susie xx
