I wasn't sure I'd really be able to get my studio from THIS to this:
But BAM! I did!!! And now.....eighty percent of it is in storage:
With the only thing left standing being my long-arm:
So for any of you thinking about it tackling it yourself....it's been refreshing and rejuvenating.
It's taken me eight months to get to where I am now and I'm loving the simplicity of having less.
As for the ol' blog here....I'm playing with the idea of an entirely new blog once we've sold our current home and moved into our much smaller home. Some of you have also asked about an eye-spy swap this summer. I haven't decided yet...but will soon! (Tomorrow is the last day of school....so time will slow down a little bit.) ANDDDD our Annual Piggy Bank Challenge will be on July 6th. So those of you involved in that, mark your calendar! Thinking of all of you and sending smiles your way.
You have been missed. We have been decluttering here and it is emotionally exhausting. We aren't planning on moving or anything, just that our son moved back in with kids and stuff.
ReplyDeleteA job well done, Val. Onwards and upwards as they say. =)
ReplyDeleteYou have been and will be missed. You had a huge and very nice studio - what a change there. I've always been a minimalist - not a keeper of 'stuff'; a move would be easy for me.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a huge amount of work, hope your new place is all you want it to be. You have been missed!! Best of luck as you move forward!
ReplyDeleteWow I am happy for you-for this process has been painful haha
ReplyDeleteSince the majority of the fabric I use is secondhand, I don't mind thrifting it back or giving it to another quilter. I felt like a got a handle on things when I put my projects into bags. I also had a pep talk with myself on what I could realistically finish.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the Eye Spy swap and I am a participant in the Annual Piggy Bank Challenge.
You give me hope, Val. I presently have a 10 x10 sewing room and know how small that is, but it's better than my friend. Hers is the top of her dryer and the two shelves in the laundry room. Look forward to seeing your "new" space.
