I have found my Sue Spargo Homegrown creative/wool stitching the perfect mental health project during this pandemic of ours. Each little 5"x 5" block offers creative outlet without being too overwhelming.
All the bright colors and textures just make me happy!!!
With that said, I'm now creating a needle roll for my growing variety of needles.
My mornings are quiet and slow.
I get in my daily walk, then will sit and stitch for a little bit before getting going with the day.
My new normal during an unprecedented time.
Have you also found yourself enjoying a new normal in your daily routine? Do share!
With SMILES! Val
So pretty! And fun to work on. The new norm is not all it's cut out to be. But that said, you look stylin'!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute little houses! Our new normal isn't a huge change from our old, except reminding each other to bring our masks when we leave the boat. And my purse contains hand sanitizer! But I've always been a homebody and our little floating home feels cozy and safe, no matter where we are :)
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! Love all the different houses and bright colors!
ReplyDeleteI can’t think of a better quilt project for a time of pandemic than one that involves cute little houses. I just go slowly, and am grateful for little steps forward in my quilt projects. No timelines. We go for a walk every evening and for bike rides in the morning when the day is cool enough. Take care! And I mean that like never before.
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet all those little houses are. They are sure to bring many a smile to anybody's day who gazes upon them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI just found a listing on a wool destashing site for 5 pounds of wool felt, of course it is on its way to me now!! I have no idea what I'll do with all of it, but I couldn't resist the low price. What will your houses become?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun bunch of blocks! Sew creative!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you blogging a little more! I've really missed you in blogland. Are you working this year? Is school starting in person or online there? Here in Colorado we have a bit of both going on depending on the district but where we live, the schools are back in session. I agree it's a weird time that's for sure. I'm almost bored sometimes 🤣 but I've just started adding a few new crafty adventures in when I feel slightly bored with my usual quilting obsession 💗👌
