Turning Scraps into "Made-Fabric"

I'm finally up for some easy sewing and having fun turning this pile of scraps into...

...some "made-fabric"  fat quarters.
The scraps left in the pile were too small for me to save anymore, so I just threw them away.(Very cleansing) Next, I start cutting into them to make a quilt top. Stay tuned!
Oh!! And notice my new "signature"?? (Hey, a girl has to do something to keep herself busy while recovering and watching a marathon of NCIS shows.)
I added a link to the "how to" on my tutorial page.

  1. I really like how your made fabric is looking! I don't think I have enough scraps yet to do this so will be looking on eagerly to your quilt. Great new signature!

  2. I am working on a crumb quilt today too! Great minds think alike! I have a whole bagful of leftover scraps from multiple projects. I am cutting the bigger pieces into 2-1/2 inch and three inch squares. The smaller strips and bits are being crumbed into 5 inch squares. I have no idea where this will go!

  6. What fun, making your own fabric! Do you just sew the scraps together anyhow, or do you use a foundation fabric or paper?
