This morning found me doing this:
I sewed the binding on my Scrappy Quilt and for the first time ever, I machine sewed, instead of hand stitched the binding down. It's a Full size bed quilt with a 10" drop and quite honestly, I was just ready to get er' done!
With BIG smiles,
Val:)

It looks very homey and comfy. I would love to sleep under a quilt I made myself. I should get to doing that one day.
ReplyDeleteWillit...Thank you. THIS is the first quilt I ever made for our house! LOL!! I just love making quilts for our family..and I keep giving them away. (I just love the idea that all my family is wrapped in a quilt!) So this year I made a goal to make two bed quilts for our home. One down and one to go!
ReplyDeleteI agree, when I see your lovely quilt, I think homey and comfy, like to have it on my bed when I am down. Congrat with this lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt Valerie! And I just sewed two quilt bindings by machine for the first time. A baby quilt then a bed quilt! I really like the method that I used and will probaly do most of my quilts this way.

Thanks Jan! I know...I think I'll continue to hand bind the smaller quilts...but for the larger ones...I'm machine sewing them. Whew!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! I really must start my scrappy tumbler quilt soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you did the binding on the machine. I still have not been able to conquer that particular skill.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt, exactly my taste.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so warm and perfect for fall. And your sewing space looks so clean and organized!!
ReplyDeleteSo cozy and inviting! Congrats on a lovely finish!
