Today's theme:Foundation Paper Piecing!
Admittably, I have never even tried this method of design but sure do admire the creations of so many! I couldn't resist highlighting Kristy who blogs at Quiet Play this week. Kristy admits her heart belongs to foundation paper piecing and she sews and designs the most delightful patterns! She even has a Zoo Animals BOM happening right now:
If you haven't yet, stop by and check out her designs and store right here.
I've linked one of Kristy's patterns. I started to test her patterns. But then my sewing machine (and my life) was a mess for some time. I didn't do more testing, then. Now I have a new sewing machine, and my life is good, so I've started to sew again. It's so much fun to sew on paper, and you should really try it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Val for the party! Greetings!
ReplyDeleteHi Val, thanks for the linky. Now I've looked around here I must try some serious foundation piecing. Thanks for providing the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late (quilting class) - I picked an old one that has two paper pieced quilts and my sweet little Bella.
ReplyDeleteFoundation paper piecing I tried very early in my "quilting-career"... last year in April and I liked it very much because although I was a beginner I was able to do a kind of precision piecing... but meanwhile I find it very difficult to manage all the seams with all the bulky paper. Thank you Val for the linky party... hope you have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteYou must give it a try. The results can be amazing.
ReplyDeletewoo hoo! another party to play along with :)
ReplyDeletepaper piecing has become something i've really started to enjoy
although, tiny pieces can be UBER frustrating!
Sorry Val, I did not have anything to link because I detest paper piecing!
ReplyDeleteI had to paper piece for bee blocks two times...both times I cried! I hate paper piecing!!! Hahaha!
