H2H: Spring Finish for Happy Chemo

I used this square in a square pattern once again called Summer Song by Villa Rosa Design. It used ten fat quarters and 20 5" squares. Again, it was quick and easy.
I love this picture as while I was taking my "quilt" pictures, Jackson suddenly
pokes his head out from behind the if to say...."oh there you are!"

It measures 46"x 58" and with this soft flannel backing I think it will make a
comfy lap quilt for a Happy Chemo recipient.
Then he returns with a look that begs:  "Are you still doing this? Mom, Come play with me!"
I used this fun pantograph called: Funkadelic for the first time and really like it's swirls, paisley-like flowers and the fact that the pattern wasn't  too dense and quilted up quick.
This is my fifth stash-busting finish this year, second of two charity quilts that I'm creating as part of Sara's H2H Charity Drive andddd this completes my April OMG!! Wow! I'm pretty happy.
I think I'll take Jackson for an afternoon walk and treat myself to a glass of wine of the patio.

  1. Such a gorgeous quilty hug. LOVE all those pretty, pastel colours. Sweet quilting pattern.

  2. Nice finish~! Flannel is always a great choice for a quilty hug!

  3. Congrats on a fun finish! Even better one that uses up some left over stash. Hope you got in a nice walk afterwards.

  4. Looks wonderful! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.

  5. What a super quilt, Val! I love these pretty, springtime colors. That's such a versatile block, too. My online guild is making those for an upcoming retreat. It works really well as an I-Spy pattern, with 5" novelty fabrics in the middle. Thanks for donating yours to H2H and Happy Chemo. It will surely brighten and comfort someone' day :)

  6. Lovely finish Val for such a great cause. The colors are so soft and calming.

  7. Congrats on your finish. It is a lovely quilt and I am sure that it will be enjoyed by the person who receives it.

  8. Wonderful quilt. Jackson was inspecting as usual, and apparently approves, LOL!! Precious pup.

  9. Jackson is such a photo bomber! Always has to be where the action is, right? Your quilt is perfect for the cause. It feels great to give :)

  10. Great pattern for a donation quilt, Val!!

  11. Beautiful quilt, and how wonderful to kill two birds with one stone!!

  12. Another fun quilt with a great backing fabric.

  13. The funkadelic pattern fits this quilt perfectly. It's such a happy quilt.

  14. Jackson loves to steal the show, doesn't he? Beautiful quilt. Nice job.
