Another Fun Fall Weekend!!

I've missed blogging and sewing, but was treated to more Grandma time this weekend as our daughter made the trip down to visit. We enjoyed Fall walks through the neighborhood together:

I smiled as I found myself making our little guy Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches and spending morning, noon and night with him. He's such a cuddle bug! LOVE THAT! (Is it just me, or do grandbabies seem to grow faster than our own children did??)

And even amongst the toys and finding play time with our little guy irresistible,  (And exhausting... my daughter was quite humored at how tired I was at the end of the day.)

I managed to get this adorable baby quilt that I was commissioned to quilt,
done and in the mail.

I am getting ready to quilt this one as another commission job: (Done)

Annndddd, because I love making lists and crossing things off even more, anddddd, I find myself on  a four day weekend, here are a few other things left on my To-Do list:

  1. Thanks for sharing. Grand kids are truly a blessing! And they do grow quickly. I love being a grandma. Have you read any of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? Awesome books!

  3. Hello, Val. I enjoyed reading about your grandbaby. I am not a grandparent yet but I look forward to it in the future. I strongly believe that time with our families is the most important thing we can do with our time.

I also loved your list of to dos. I can relate because I have monthly lists that I break down into weekly and daily tasks. I too enjoy checking things off and looking back to see what I have accomplished.

I have not sewn a stitch today because I am thinking of my daughter who left Siberia last night to head home. All I can think about is hugging her in 2 days.

  4. Oh Val, he is just adorable. Grandbabies are just the best. They do grow up way to fast . But I can tell you are enjoying every minute. I am a list girl too. Sometimes I write something I did on my list just so I can cross it out! I know I am a little OCD about organization!

  5. Yes! The grands get older quicker... I remember the night my oldest grandgirl was born, and now she's 21. Just wizzed on by. Your cutie is getting bigger as I read your blog! (I always wonder how the younger one's get old so fast.... while I'm getting younger! It's an enigma.) When visiting the grandkids we always had to go back to the hotel about 7... so much going on all day we got tired.
U R amazing getting so much done.
    Hugs

  7. Oh he is adorable.

I know what you mean about being tired at the end. When my grandson was a toddler I was not sure I'd make it and I wondered how in the world did I raise three? With plenty of energy to spare? LOL...
